Self-hosting guide
Each Cloud plan covers one Things account. Two people sharing a project need two plans. New features are included when they ship. Prices include VAT, with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Questions before you connect
Will I still use Things?
Yes. Things remains the app where you plan your day. Plus keeps an encrypted working copy so you can use those tasks in a browser or AI assistant, and share a project with another Things user. Changes sync back to your Things app.
How do shared projects work?
Invite another person who uses Things and Plus. The shared project appears in each person's Things app, and Plus keeps changes in sync. Each person needs their own Things account and Plus plan.
Which AI apps can I use?
Use the Plus connector with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, Grok Bot or Muse to read and update your Things tasks. It works through Things Cloud, so your Mac can be off.
Is Plus made by Cultured Code?
No. Plus is an independent, unofficial service that works alongside Things 3. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Cultured Code. It connects through Things Cloud, for which Cultured Code does not offer a public third-party API.
What happens when I connect my Things account?
Plus asks for your Things Cloud password and uses it once to connect; it never stores the password. It does store an encrypted access key and working copy of your tasks, which you can remove by disconnecting. Cultured Code advises against sharing Things credentials with third parties. Read how the connection works before deciding.
What does lifetime include?
€69 once covers AI access, the web app and sharing for one Things account, for as long as we run Plus. New features are included when they ship, except for possible usage-based add-ons. See the plan details.
What happens to my lifetime plan if you shut down?
We plan to run Plus for the long term. Tobias, who builds it, has used Things for eight years and relies on Things and Plus every day himself. If Plus ever shuts down, we tell you by email at least 30 days in advance and refund your lifetime payment without you having to ask: in full if the shutdown comes within 6 months of your purchase, and half within 12 months. After 12 months there is no refund. The terms have the details.
Can I run Plus myself?
Yes. Community Edition is self-hosted for one person and their own Things account. You look after your server, updates and backups.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Email support@things3.plus within 14 days of a monthly or lifetime payment for a full refund. No reason needed.
